1. Run DVD Ripper and load your DVD into the program. It can be done easily by “Open-DVD” button on the main interface.  At this time, your DVD disc should have been put into the drive.
2. In the following dialog-box, please just select the DVD drive of your PC. And then click “OK” to get your DVD loaded.

 

3. After your DVD is loaded into the program, you will read the titles/chapters of your DVD in the central list of the program. There are always certain titles on a standard DVD, while each title consists of certain chapters. 
4. Generally, the main episodes of the movie would be made in one title. As the program shows for the DVD, Title_01 has 29 chapters and its duration is 02:25:34. It is one of the longest titles of the DVD. So the main episodes of the movie are in this title.If you just want to rip it entirely, please highlight this title in the program and set other output options. Or if you only want to get certain chapters ripped, you still need highlight them in the program first. 
5. On the bottom of the list, there are settings for “Audio”, “Subtitle”. All the audio tracks and subtitles that your DVD has will be shown in the corresponding box. Please select what you want for the final output files from the lists. 
6. And then, please select the output formats and other necessary things at the bottom of the
list. What you select in the “Profile”, what output format you will get after conversion. In the “Output” folder, you should tell the program where, or which directory on your hard drive, will be the output path for the conversion. You can “Browse” the directory or enter it directly.
7. On the right panel of the main interface, there are some advanced setting options, such as
“Video/Audio Codec”, “Video Size” and “Video/Audio Quality”. Generally, the default values we offered haven been OK, so you need not always modify them.
8. After you set everything OK, please start ripping by clicking “Rip” button. It will rip title or chapter your selected. 
9. After the conversion is done, you can see processbar attach 100% . What to do next? Just enjoy the movie on your PC by proper media players.

This guide will explain how to watch full-length DVDs, podcasts and TV shows on your cell phone. It works by converting the video into a “FLIX” message. It’s free (no messaging subscriptions) and easy.
If you already have a video file (such as a podcast), skip to step 5.

Download and install Eazy VCD (freeware) or similar DVD to MPG software package.
Load your DVD into your computer’s DVD-ROM or DVD-R/W drive.
Run Eazy VCD, and select Lowest Quality (Very Fast) under Encoding Quality
Click RIP IT, sit back and relax. This will take a few hours to encode.
Now, download Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 (freeware, although you must sign up for an account, download the software, and request a serial key which is emailed to you). You could also use many other software titles such as Quicktime Pro ($30), or Mobile Video Converter ($19.99).
Open Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 and click File > Open. Now select the mpg file Eazy VCD created (the default is in the C: drive).
Click Convert and wait some more. This usually takes about an hour.
After it has converted, click File > Save and save the file to your desktop.
Now you can put the Transflash/MiniSD into it’s adapter, then insert it into your computer’s SD card reader.
Go to the My_Flix folder (or similar) on the card, and drag the .3pg file on your desktop (from Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0) into that folder.
Go ahead and put the card in your phone, power up, and go to the “My Flix” menu. It may take a moment to load.
Now select your movie from the menu. A full-length movie will take about 3 minutes to load.

Another way to get the file in .3gp format is to visit zamzar.com (external links at the bottom) and convert the files there. It will email the files to you. You might even be able to skip the ripping of DVD to MPG there. It will take a while, (2 hours or so) but you can get rid of the software.
Please note that there are many ways to do this. This was compiled with the knowledge from about 3 days of testing programs.
If you have a podcast in .m4v format, or any other format Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 cant read, you’ll have to use another program such as Quicktime Pro to convert the file into 3pg.
If your phone seems to freeze when loading the menu/album (not the video), try pressing the OK button if you can about every second to speed it up (dont know why this works, but it improved loading times on my Samsung A950).
If you see no My_Flix folder, put the card in the phone, power on and off, then you should see the folders.
You can also simply use Orb (for free). This software will let you watch any video, shows or movies you have on your PC, as long as you have internet access on your PC, as well as your phone.
